Biography
Emre Toros is a Professor in the Department of Communication and Design at Bilkent University. He holds a PhD in Political Science and Public Administration from Bilkent University and has previously served as Dean of the Faculty of Communication at Hacettepe University, as well as holding visiting appointments at Stanford University, Harvard University, and King’s College London. His research focuses on political communication, electoral integrity, democratic consolidation, trust, and media studies. He is the author of Electoral Integrity in Turkey (Edinburgh University Press, 2024) and has published widely in leading journals on elections, political behavior, media, and democracy. In addition to his academic work, he has led and contributed to major funded research projects, supervised graduate students, and served the broader scholarly community as an editor, reviewer, and grant panel member.
